Steph Julian is a Taranaki-based writer, Mum, dog-lover and lemon tart connoisseur.

 

She has published stories, poetry and articles on everything from the terrors of shopping centre baby photo shoots to attempting to invite Lenny Kravitz to doss on her London floor in the early 2000s.

In 2024, Steph was one of six finalists selected for the coveted Te Papa Tupu programme - an incubator programme for emerging Māori authors. 

At the moment, Steph is working on a novel for Middle Grade Readers (9 - 12 year olds) called Penny Pounamu and the Disappearing  Tigers.
